Why?
Unfortunately, there are too many boilers being replaced unnecessarily in recent years, partly down to it being the easiest option for the plumber but mainly because too many plumbers don’t have the experience or haven’t been able to gain the experience of carrying out proper repairs.
Here at RJL Gas, we are especially fond of what we now think of as ‘vintage’ boilers from 20+ years ago. Mainly due to their more simplistic workings and general better reliability compared to some modern-day condensing boilers. Sadly it’s these which tend to get scrapped too often for ‘lack of part availability’ or being ‘beyond economical repair’ neither is usually the case.
Boiler replacement should be carried out as a last resort if a boiler is broken beyond repair, as replacing a boiler unnecessarily is not only extremely costly for customers, it is also extremely wasteful too. RJL Gas is fully equipped to detect issues with your boiler and then provide appropriate repair services.
How?
There are of course times when I’ll suggest whole replacement as an option but this will be because it’s the best solution and not because it’s more profitable. When you choose us, you can be comforted with the peace of mind that you will be provided with the most appropriate solution, rather than the most convenient for us.
Any good boiler technician will always be happy to explain the fault and what parts may be required for the customer to understand. This will provide you with an insight on what is required and ultimately what you are paying for.
